The Timetable
This section sets out the Policyholder Advocate’s timetable as it currently stands. The further forward it goes the less precise it becomes and it is subject to change.
2006
November 21 – Norwich Union announce intention to consider undertaking a reattribution of inherited estate.
Clare Spottiswoode CBE appointed as Policyholder Advocate to represent the interest of eligible with-profits Norwich Union policyholders
November 28 – Special consultative conference held with invited Norwich Union with-profits policyholders; organised by Opinion Leader Research
December 6 – Central London - Clare meets Independent Financial Advisers, representatives of consumer groups and other interested parties.
December 6 – Clare meets with representatives of consumer groups and other interested parties.
December 13 - Clare visits Norwich Union office in York; listens to the views of Norwich Union employees who are also eligible with-profits policyholders.
2007
January 9 – Meeting with Norwich Union employees, Perth
January - February - Clare meets Norwich Union policyholders at open meetings and undertook media opportunities around these meetings.
