Reattribution Timetable

This section sets out the reattribution timetable as it currently stands.

2009

Mid-November - payments begin to issue

September 18 - High Court approves Aviva reattribution and fund transfer

September 14 - date for High Court hearing

4 September - any objector to have notified Aviva (through solicitors) of the facts and grounds for objection by close of business (click on this link to see the full timetable for the preparatory stages of the High Court hearing)

3 September - supplemental policyholder advocate report to be finished by close of business and posted on website (click on this link to see the full timetable for the preparatory stages of the High Court hearing)

August 21 - Date by which Aviva asks policyholders to register their intention

June 23 to July 23 - policyholder advocate roadshows take place in this period

June - information packs to all policyholders are sent out from Monday 1 June

May - Aviva announces that a new offer will be put to policyholders.

February - Aviva announcement that the deal would not proceed as originally intended.

Discussions re-opened with policyholder advocate to develop deal that will provide for changes in the size of the inherited estates due to market turbulence.
