The Policyholder advocate is an independent representative of the potentially eligible policyholders appointed in accordance with the rules of the Financial Services Authority (FSA), the UK regulator of insurance companies. As part of the reattribution process, the Policyholder advocate negotiates an offer with Aviva on behalf of eligible policyholders and confirms which policyholders are eligible to participate in the reattribution. The role of the Policyholder advocate gives policyholders the opportunity to have their say and be confident in the knowledge that they are treated properly
